This is a
Military Technician position
with the 88th Readiness Division, Area Maintenance Support Activity (AMSA) 56 located in Whitehall, Ohio. Duties
Troubleshoot, repair, modify and maintain a variety of heavy mobile equipment such as construction, industrial, combat, tactical, and powered support equipment. Remove and repair major systems or components of equipment to include power packs, transmissions, transfers, gear reduction units, injector pumps, air conditioners, fuel pumps and alternators. Make idle speed, current, brake, and transmission linkage adjustments. Perform initial and in-process inspections. Perform mechanical diagnostics and troubleshoot to localize defects and determine cause of malfunction. Perform mechanical maintenance on defective parts. Perform minor body work. Provide technical assistance to unit personnel. Operate motor vehicles to perform the duties of this position. Requirements
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. THIS POSITION REQUIRES ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP AS A SOLDIER IN THE U.S. ARMY RESERVE (USAR). This position is subject to Drug Abuse Testing Program requirements. This position requires a Class A CDL within 180 days of employment. This position requires a medical examination prior to employment. This position requires a Personnel Security Investigation.
