As the first-ever Senior Director, Global Corporate Communications, you will be responsible for crafting Arc’teryx’s corporate narrative and elevating executive leadership voices both internally and externally. Working with a team of exceptional communicators and storytellers, your role will be to build off what the team has created to identify new and unique ways of sharing Arc’teryx and our brand vision with new audiences and loyalists alike.

This role is based out of our North Vancouver, BC (or Remote U.S.) with travels to Vancouver, BC if located in the United States. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada or the U.S.

If you were the Senior Director, Corporate Communications, here are some of the core activities you would be doing: Corporate Narrative & Reputation Strategy
Leading the development of Arc’teryx’s corporate narrative and messaging framework, ensuring alignment with the company’s long‑term strategy and growth priorities
Driving a global corporate communications strategy that builds brand awareness and credibility alongside Arc’teryx’s continued growth
Developing and maintaining evergreen corporate messaging that protects and reinforces the unique identity of the brand
Executive Communications & Leadership Visibility
Serving as a strategic communications advisor to the executive leadership team, shaping messaging and positioning across key internal and external moments
Leading the executive communications strategy to ensure a consistent leadership voice across internal communications, media engagements, industry forums, and investor moments
Identifying and developing thought leadership opportunities that elevate Arc’teryx leaders and strengthen the brand’s position within the global business and outdoor industries
Amplifying the Arc’teryx Leadership Code through leadership communications and storytelling
Defining and executing a strategy for executive presence at global conferences and industry forums
Identifying high‑impact speaking opportunities and manage all supporting communications including messaging, Q&A, and media engagement preparation
Media Relations & Corporate Storytelling
Leading relationships with key business, financial, and trade media outlets, working in partnership with agencies of record to shape and deliver Arc’teryx’s corporate story
Overseeing corporate media strategy, including proactive storytelling, executive media engagements, and narrative positioning
Leading executive media preparation, including media training, messaging development, and Q&A preparation
Overseeing the development of corporate content including press releases, media pitches, and other storytelling materials
Financial & Investor Communications
Partnering with the Amer Sports, Strategy and Finance teams to support investor and analyst communications, including materials and messaging for investor conferences and major corporate moments
Leading communications preparation for quarterly earnings, including executive messaging, call scripts, releases, and Q&A preparation
Internal Leadership Communications
Partnering with the Global Employee Communications team to ensure alignment and consistency in leadership communications across internal channels
Supporting senior leaders for global employee moments including employee events, internal announcements, and leadership communications on the global intranet
Issues Management & Corporate Reputation
Supporting corporate reputation management by preparing leadership messaging and communications strategies for sensitive issues or critical business moments
Team & Cross‑Functional Leadership
Fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Building organizational capability through strong talent development and succession planning
Partnering closely with teams across the business, including Strategy, Investor Relations, Legal, HR, and Brand, to ensure alignment and clarity in corporate messaging across all audiences
Supporting frontline communication needs by partnering with teams to cascade key information to store teams, Arc’ONE, partners, and other audiences

You have deep experience advising and supporting C‑suite executives, including preparing leaders for high‑stakes communications moments such as media interviews, earnings calls, and major corporate announcements
You have strong experience working with business, financial, and trade media, and understand how to position a corporate narrative within the broader business landscape
You have experience developing and executing executive communications and thought leadership strategies that elevate leaders and strengthen brand reputation
You are comfortable navigating complex, fast‑moving situations and have experience supporting communications during sensitive or high‑visibility moments
You are highly collaborative and experienced at working cross‑functionally
You have experience managing and partnering effectively with global communications agencies
You bring strong judgment and discretion when working with confidential or sensitive information
You have experience shaping corporate narratives during periods of rapid growth or brand evolution
You have a bachelor’s degree, or post‑secondary education in a related field
You have 15+ years of experience in communications, including time working for a global brand
You have experience working with a publicly traded company (US)
You have strong writing and copyediting capabilities
You’re a self‑starter who is comfortable building things from scratch
You’re adaptable, flexible, and love being part of a team who is working toward a greater goal
You’re comfortable working hard, working with senior leaders, and under tight deadlines
Bonus points if you’ve worked in the outdoor or sporting goods industry

A reasonable estimate of the pay range is CAD$181,000 - CAD$249,000 at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job‑related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training. The upper end of the range is typically reserved for candidates with demonstrated expertise that is above job requirements or who bring exceptional directly transferable experience.
