The Role
We are seeking an exceptional Head of Business Development to architect and execute our national growth strategy. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will acquire financial advisor partnerships nationwide and enable those advisors to win high-net-worth clients through GoalVest's institutional platform. You will convert independent financial advisors and RIAs to the GoalVest value proposition, then serve as their strategic partner by developing tailored investment proposals, supporting client presentations, and providing the institutional infrastructure that elevates their practice and closes complex, high-net-worth business.
The ideal candidate is a CFA charterholder or candidate who combines institutional investment expertise, consultative sales mastery, and the strategic vision to build a high-performing distribution organization.
Key Responsibilities
Advisor Acquisition & Strategic Partnership Development
- Identify, engage, and convert independent financial advisors, RIAs, and family offices to GoalVest's OCIO platform nationwide
- Cultivate deep, strategic relationships with advisors and maintain dialogue throughout extended sales cycles
- Design and implement scalable COI programs targeting CPAs and estate planning attorneys
- Secure GoalVest's approval and listing as a sub-advisor on major platforms including Schwab, SEI, AssetMark, and Envestnet
Client Acquisition Support & Presentations
- Develop bespoke investment proposals tailored to individual high-net-worth client situations
- Partner with advisors in client presentations, providing investment expertise that facilitates client acquisition and retention
- Deliver compelling presentations at RIA roadshows and industry conferences
- Present and close venture growth fund offerings to financial advisors, RIAs, and family offices
- Support capital formation efforts and institutional distribution of alternative investment strategies
- Collaborate with CEO and senior leadership to refine positioning, messaging, and go-to-market execution
- Orchestrate seamless transitions between business development, portfolio management, and operations
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years in investment management, institutional sales, or business development serving RIAs or family offices
- Proven track record generating substantial new assets in OCIO or high-net-worth wealth management
- Strong understanding of portfolio construction, asset allocation, and capital markets
- Proven ability to deliver high-impact presentations
- FINRA Series 7 and 63 or 66 (or commitment to obtain)
- Comfortable with 40–50% travel
Strongly Preferred
- Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent)
- CFA charterholder or active candidate
- Established relationships with independent RIAs, family office ecosystems, and financial advisor platforms (e.g. AssetMark, Envestnet, SEI, Schwab)
- Experience distributing OCIO solutions, discretionary mandates, or alternative investment strategies
- Working fluency in private markets and institutional allocator decision frameworks
Candidate Profile

- Base salary of $105,000–$150,000 plus performance-based compensation directly tied to asset and revenue generation
- Significant upside commensurate with client acquisition and business growth
