
Director, Product Line Management

The Director of Product Line Management is responsible for the strategy, growth, and commercial success of Genuine Optics’ product portfolio. This role drives product roadmap, new product introduction (NPI), go-to-market execution, and revenue growth for next-generation optical networking products serving hyperscale and AI data center markets.
The role requires close collaboration with engineering, operations, sales, and key customers to deliver differentiated products, accelerate market adoption, and maintain technology leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the product roadmap aligned with hyperscaler and AI networking requirements.
- Manage the full product lifecycle , from concept through launch, growth, and end-of-life.
- Lead portfolio rationalization to prioritize high-impact programs and optimize investment.
New Product Development & Launch
- Drive new product development and successful commercialization .
- Ensure NPI and Go-to-Market readiness across engineering, manufacturing, and sales teams.
- Identify bottlenecks in development or approval processes to improve time-to-market .
Revenue Growth & Market Success
- Own revenue growth for new products and product lines .
- Deliver YoY growth for key segments such as LPO, LRO, and ZR optics .
- Partner with Sales and Marketing to drive demand generation and customer adoption .
- Lead sales enablement , including product positioning, demos, and training.
- Support customer testing, validation, and qualifications to ensure successful product introduction.
- Work closely with strategic accounts and hyperscalers during early product evaluations.
Global Manufacturing & Market Introduction
- Lead introduction of products manufactured in GO / Thailand / China facilities into the U.S. market.
- Align engineering, operations, and supply chain to ensure production readiness and quality.
- Conduct market analysis, SWOT assessments, and competitive benchmarking .
- Represent Genuine Optics in industry forums including OFC, ECOC, OCP , DesignCon etc. strengthening ecosystem presence and thought leadership.
Qualifications
- BS or MS in Engineering, Physics, or related field.
- 10+ years in product management, product line management, or technical marketing in optical networking or semiconductors.
- Proven experience launching high-speed optical or networking products.
- Strong cross-functional leadership and customer engagement skills.
