Leads the commercial strategy and execution for a manufacturing, assembly and service organization serving the oil and gas industry. Responsible for driving revenue growth, market expansion, and profitability through strategic sales, marketing, and customer engagement initiatives. Oversees pricing, contract management, business development, and customer relationship management. Collaborates closely with operations, engineering, supply chain, and finance to align commercial goals with business capabilities. Handles special projects, as assigned.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Develop and execute commercial strategies to grow market share in the oil and gas sector.
- Lead sales and business development efforts across domestic and international markets.
- Oversee pricing strategy, contract negotiations, and margin optimization.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and industry stakeholders.
- Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to align product offerings with market needs.
- Monitor market trends, customer feedback, and competitive activity to inform strategic decisions.
- Drive customer satisfaction and retention through service excellence and value delivery.
- Manage commercial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting processes.
- Support new product launches and service expansions with go-to-market planning.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies in all commercial activities.
Skills/Knowledge
- Deep understanding of the oil and gas industry, including upstream, midstream, and downstream operations.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in strategic sales, marketing, and business development.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders.
- Expertise in pricing strategy, contract management, and customer negotiations.
- Familiarity with manufacturing operations and supply chain dynamics.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
- MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Experience
- 10+ years of commercial leadership experience in the oil and gas or industrial manufacturing sectors.
- Experience with oilfield equipment used in frac surface operations.
- Experience with cooling equipment for engines used mainly in frac, gas compression and power application (fixed and mobile).
- Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth, market expansion, and customer engagement.
- Experience managing sales teams, developing strategic partnerships, and leading commercial initiatives.
