Executive Director of Equitable Leadership for Secondary Schools
SUMMARY
The Executive Director of Equitable Leadership for Secondary Schools serves as a member of the Superintendent’s Cabinet and Leadership Team and provides leadership and support to schools and district departments to advance the District’s vision and mission. This work is grounded in the District’s shared beliefs that:

A central responsibility is to provide strategic leadership for principal supervision and equitable instructional practice across assigned schools. The Executive Director provides direct supervision, coaching, and evaluation of principals, ensuring that school leadership, instructional priorities, and improvement efforts are aligned with district goals. This role sets clear expectations for instructional quality, monitors student outcomes, and supports principals in strengthening school culture and ensuring equitable access to high quality learning for every student. This position partners closely with the Executive Director of Equitable Leadership for Elementary schools.
In addition, a responsibility of this role is leading and strengthening districtwide family and community engagement. The Executive Director establishes coherent systems and expectations for authentic, culturally responsive engagement practices that build trust, expand access, and elevate family voice in school and district decision making. This includes supporting principals in embedding effective engagement strategies into school improvement planning and ensuring consistent, responsive communication with families. The Executive Director also provides coordinated leadership during time sensitive situations requiring clear communication and support. Additional duties include, but are not limited to, the supervision of classified staff. The position reports to the Assistant Superintendent.
