The Children's Home of Wyoming Conference partners with children, families and communities throughout New York State to inspire hope, develop skills and cultivate healthy relationships for positive futures. $26-27 an hour
Work Location: Regular travel throughout New York state. On non-travel days, work will be completed in a local office or at home. Position Summary
The Wendy's Wonderful Kids Adoption recruiter is dedicated to finding permanent families for children in foster care using an evidence-based, child-focused recruitment model to find the right family for every child. Responsibilities
Comfortable with frequent travel and driving as a core part of the role Determine the child\'s strengths, challenges, preparedness for adoption, and assure that any child\'s needs are met Build and maintain a therapeutic relationship with the child, and positive relationships with adults significant to the child including the families, foster parents, caseworker, attorney, teacher, therapist, CASA volunteer, relative, mentor, faith-based representative, extracurricular activity leader, etc. Maintain regular and ongoing contact with people close to and knowledgeable about the child to facilitate recruitment activities Assure that the child and recruited family are adequately prepared for adoption by developing a comprehensive recruitment plan that is reviewed quarterly and updated as needed. Conduct monthly home visits with clients and supervise visitation and transportation of assigned Ensure timely, accurate recording of all components of child records, including but not limited to progress notes, adoption preparation, recruitment activities, treatment planning, conferences, and Connections documentation. Provide appropriate comprehensive adoption recruitment activities using the Wendy\'s Wonderful Kids Child-Focused Recruitment Strategy. Adhere to the Marketing and Promotions Style Guide provided by the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. Capacity to work independently, as a team, objectively, and adhere to the Child Focused recruitment Model Education
Associate\'s Degree in human services or related field required Bachelor\'s degree in social work or human services preferred Experience
Associate\'s - extensive program, foster care, or human services experience Driver\'s License and ability to maintain insurability throughout employment required Benefits
