The AWS CDR Pillar 1 Strategy and DX Transformation team is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer II (BIE) who combines superior analytical abilities, business acumen, curiosity, technical skills, and strong written and verbal communication. Your work will directly influence decisions and strategy for the entire AWS Infrastructure Services organization and its customers.
Key job responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain scaled, automated, user‑friendly systems, reports, dashboards, etc., that support business needs.
Apply deep analytical and business‑intelligence skills to extract meaningful insights from large and complex data sets.
Be hands‑on with ETL to build data pipelines that support automated reporting.
Serve as liaison between business and technical teams to provide actionable insights into current performance and to support future improvements or innovations.
Build data visualizations that tell the story of business trends, patterns, and outliers through rich visual analytics.
Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis, including data integrity, test design, analysis validation, and documentation.

Basic Qualifications
3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc.
Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools.
Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines.
Experience with statistical analysis packages such as R, SAS, and Matlab.
Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift.
Experience in data mining, ETL, and working with large‑scale, complex datasets in a business environment.

Compensation and Benefits The base salary range for this position is $99,500.00 – $160,000.00 USD annually. Your Amazon package will also include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation is determined by experience, qualifications, and location.
