Brilliant Electrical Supply is seeking a dedicated Inside Sales Representative to support electrical contractors, facility managers, industrial maintenance teams
and industry partners
with fast, accurate, and reliable electrical equipment solutions. This role is 100% focused on selling, quoting, and customer service—helping customers keep buildings, plants, and critical systems running.

Key Responsibilities 1. Sales & Quoting for Contractors, Facilities & Maintenance Teams
Provide timely, accurate quotes for circuit breakers, panelboards, switchboards, MCC buckets, transformers, safety switches, busway/bus plugs, and related electrical gear.
Assist customers in identifying correct replacement products using photos, nameplates, panel schedules, one-line diagrams, and technical documentation.
Interpret panel schedules and one-line diagrams to confirm compatibility, voltage, amperage, and application.
Offer compatible alternatives when equipment is discontinued, unavailable, or on extended factory lead times.
Follow up on open quotes to close orders and maintain strong customer relationships.
2. Customer Service & Relationship Management
Communicate clearly and professionally with:
Electrical Contractors
(rapid, practical, solutions-focused tone)
Facility Managers
(professional, detailed, clarity-focused tone)
Maintenance Managers & Technicians
(straightforward, technical, reliability-focused tone)
Provide responsive support for product questions, order status, delivery timelines, and issue resolution.
Maintain positive, professional interactions with
other dealers and distributors , including customers who also serve as vendors or supply partners.
Represent Brilliant Electrical Supply with professionalism, integrity, and consistency in all interactions.
3. Order Processing & Coordination
Enter orders accurately in QuickBooks.
Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure correct picking, packing, and on-time shipping.
Communicate clearly with customers regarding availability, substitutions, partial shipments, and fulfillment timelines.
4. Product Knowledge & Technical Guidance
Build strong working knowledge of major electrical manufacturers including Square D, Siemens, GE, Eaton/Cutler-Hammer, ABB, Allen-Bradley, and others.
Learn to identify equipment based on catalog numbers, breaker frames, voltage, amperage, application, and manufacturer specifications.
Interpret and understand one-line diagrams, panel schedules, and basic electrical layouts to support accurate quoting and product selection.
Explain product differences, compatibility considerations, and safe alternatives to help customers make informed decisions.
Use Pipedrive to manage quotes, customer communications, deal stages, and follow-ups.
Maintain accurate customer notes, deal activity, and order history.
Track open quotes, won/lost opportunities, and customer activity to support visibility and reporting.
Qualifications
2–3 years of inside sales or customer service experience (electrical supply, industrial supply, HVAC supply, construction materials, or similar).
Understanding of contractor, facility, and maintenance customer needs.
Ability to interpret equipment specifications, panel schedules, or one-line diagrams—or strong willingness to learn quickly.
Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt tone based on customer type and relationship.
Comfortable working with customers who may also be vendors or industry partners.
Proficient with CRM systems (Pipedrive preferred), QuickBooks, email, and SMS communication.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and accurate.
Team-oriented with strong accountability, follow-through, and problem-solving skills.
Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment where urgent and time-sensitive requests are common.
Compensation $75,000 – $95,000 per year (Base + Commission)
Base salary: $55,000 – $65,000 depending on experience
Commission: 2% on all sales
Average monthly sales for a new representative: $85,000
Average commission earnings: $20,000+ annually
Top performers can exceed $100,000 annually.
