
Architectural Sales Support Specialist

Specify Build is a building materials specification and design support partner working with architects, landscape architects, designers, contractors, and owners to select high-performance materials for complex commercial projects.
We provide technical product expertise, material plan reviews, and specification support
to ensure architectural building materials are successfully integrated into project designs. Our work spans projects including: Healthcare and life science facilities Academic and municipal campuses Multi-family housing Public plazas, parks, and shared amenity spaces The Architectural Sales Support Specialist
plays a key role supporting the specification and sales process for architectural building materials including
site furnishings, precast concrete hardscape systems, and waterproofing assemblies . We focus on materials that balance aesthetics, durability, performance, and budget alignment. This position works closely with architects, landscape architects, contractors, and distributors to help ensure the right materials are selected, specified, and supported throughout the design and construction process. 1099 position, remote-hybrid, part-time to full-time role candidates will be considered. who wants hands‑on exposure to real‑world projects across New England. Key Responsibilities
Assist with reviewing architectural drawings and project specifications Prepare technical product submittals and documentation Support architects and designers with finish palettes, design boards, and product information Provide technical data sheets and installation guidance Help identify specification opportunities within project plans Project Coordination
Track projects and opportunities within CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) Coordinate samples, mockups, and product documentation Maintain project records and follow‑up on quote requests Support communication between architects, contractors, and distributors Sales & Business Development Support
Assist with outreach to architecture and design firms Support product presentations and educational sessions Maintain follow‑up communications with project teams Help maintain marketing and project update materials Projects types may include:
Parks, plazas, and campus landscapes Healthcare and pharmaceutical facilities Universities and academic campuses Mixed‑use and multi‑family developments Municipal and civic infrastructure projects Qualifications
Preferred educational background:
Construction Management Civil Engineering Building Science or related field
Experience:
1–3 years of professional experience or relevant internships Ability to read construction drawings and specifications Strong organizational and project coordination skills
Technical skills:
Microsoft Office CRM experience (Salesforce preferred) Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Revit, or Adobe tools a plus
