Amalgamated Bank, America’s socially responsible bank, seeks a marketing intern to support the Marketing Department in developing strategies, creating effective sales support materials, and managing and engaging multi-channel marketing campaigns. Note that this is a hybrid part-time internship that requires coming on-site at least 2 days per week. Our hybrid days are: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Qualified candidates will:

Have experience with and interest in brand and digital marketing

Have a zeal for researching and planning activations & projects with the goal of increasing brand awareness and affinity

Have an interest in values-aligned initiatives

In this role candidates can expect to:

Provide integrated marketing support across multiple channels and programs, including collateral and sales support, new product launches; change communications; digital marketing campaigns; and prospect and client retention communications.

Assist with management of Amalgamated social media channels.

Develop deep understanding of company brand voice and tone.

Research industry trends and monitor the competitive landscape, identifying opportunities to differentiate Amalgamated in the marketplace.

Support mission-aligned brand initiatives that solidify Amalgamated as a leader in the socially responsible space.

Work with vendors to manage campaign requirements, including creative briefs, project plans and budget.

Provide general marketing support and assist with other marketing functions and day-to-day requests as needed.

Work with creative team to ensure consistency and adherence to brand guidelines

Requirements:

Majoring in marketing, communications, advertising or related field

Ability to utilize multi-channel marketing to meet marketing and company-wide objectives

Desire to gain an in-depth understanding of marketing trends and research

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, deliverables and deadlines simultaneously and with flexibility

Excellent writer with strong verbal and presentation skills

Ability to work effectively as part of a team to drive projects and deliverables

Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel; knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite programs a plus (InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator)
