Role Description This is a full‑time hybrid role for an Inland Marine Underwriter based in the Greater New Orleans area, with flexibility for partial remote work. The selected candidate will evaluate, price, and underwrite inland marine insurance policies in alignment with company guidelines and objectives. Day‑to‑day tasks include analyzing risks, managing accounts, collaborating with brokers and clients, ensuring compliance with underwriting standards, and contributing to the development of competitive insurance products.
Qualifications
Expertise in Inland Marine insurance coverages and policies
Strong Analytical Skills for risk assessment and decision‑making
Experience in Insurance and Underwriting practices with a thorough understanding of industry standards
Strong communication, negotiation, and customer relationship management skills
Bachelor's degree preferred
Proficiency in related software tools and systems
Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment
Prior experience in commercial or marine insurance is an advantage
