Company Overview Oakboro Tractor and Equipment, an independent, high-growth dealership representing Bobcat, Grasshopper, STIHL, ECHO, and Husqvarna, is scaling our flagship store in Oakboro, NC. Recent growth has prompted the addition of another member to our Parts Support Team.

Position Summary This is a dedicated retail parts position — focusing only on walk-in and established commercial account customers. You own the walk-in and phone-in retail parts sales, coordinated daily OEM ordering, receiving, stocking, and customer delivery for the Oakboro community. Your counter is the first and last impression most customers have of our store.

Primary Responsibilities

Greet every walk-in and answer every phone call within 10 seconds

Identify exact parts from customer descriptions, photos, VIN/serial numbers, or over-the-phone troubleshooting

Build and transmit daily OEM orders to Bobcat, Grasshopper, Husqvarna, STIHL, ECHO, Kawasaki, Kohler, Briggs, etc.

Receive, verify, bin, and price incoming shipments the same day

Maintain a fully stocked, well labeled retail floor and overstock area

Handle special-order parts from request to customer notification and delivery

Process cash, credit, and account payments with zero errors

Cross Sell filters, blades, chains, oils, batteries, and accessories as possible

Keep the retail counter and customer waiting area spotless and welcoming

Assist with cycle counts and annual inventory

Important This role does not pull parts for the service technicians. A separate internal parts team supports the shop.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 3 years retail parts counter experience (equipment, powersports, ag, or automotive)

Expert at reading illustrated parts lookups (IPL) for all our brands

Lightning-fast and accurate in dealership software (we use ASPEN)

Outstanding phone presence and in-person customer service skills

Mechanical aptitude strong enough to explain technical parts to both homeowners and commercial contractors

Ability to lift 50–70 lbs repeatedly and safely operate a forklift (we certify you)

Preferred Qualifications

Previous retail parts experience at a Bobcat, STIHL, Grasshopper, or Husqvarna dealer

STIHL Bronze/Silver or Husqvarna parts certification

Bilingual (English/Spanish) a major plus in the Oakboro market

Compensation & Benefits

Annual base salary: $15-$25/hr (experience-based)

Paid time off + major holidays

Growth path: Retail Parts Specialist → Parts Manager → Owner-Operator Academy

Work Schedule Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Seasonal Rotating Saturdays 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
