
AI Solutions Consultant

Aqueity is looking for a customer‑facing AI Consultant to serve as the critical link between our clients and senior AI engineering team. This role focuses on discovery, requirements definition, solution framing, and ongoing client communication throughout the AI solution lifecycle. The AI Consultant ensures business needs are clearly understood, accurately translated into technical requirements, and delivered with clarity, alignment, and trust.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary customer‑facing point of contact for AI consulting engagements
Lead discovery sessions to understand client workflows, business challenges, data sources, and success criteria
Translate business problems into clear, actionable functional and non‑functional requirements for AI solutions
Act as the liaison between clients and senior AI engineers to ensure alignment and prevent scope drift
Facilitate ongoing communication between technical and non‑technical stakeholders
Support solution framing, demonstrations, and explanations of AI capabilities and limitations in plain language
Manage client expectations around feasibility, timelines, risks, and tradeoffs
Support iterative feedback cycles during development, testing, and pilot phases
Assist with data intake assessments, readiness evaluations, and solution documentation
Ensure accurate and complete handoff documentation for engineering teams
Track engagement progress and communicate next steps, timelines, and outcomes to clients
Skills & Abilities
Strong customer‑facing communication and active listening skills
High emotional intelligence with the ability to align competing priorities and de‑escalate concerns
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, business‑friendly language
Strong organizational skills with consistent follow‑through
Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, evolving technical environment
Able to ask the right questions to uncover risks, dependencies, and constraints
Working understanding of AI and machine learning concepts, including large language models (LLMs), retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG), workflow automation, data pipelines, and system integrations
Ability to reason about data quality, structure, privacy, and security considerations
Comfortable reviewing high‑level system architectures, solution diagrams, and workflows
Not responsible for coding, but able to collaborate effectively with senior engineers
Education & Experience
Background in consulting, solutions engineering, technical product management, pre‑sales, or similar roles
Experience supporting custom software or AI solution delivery environments
Experience working directly with senior engineers and client stakeholders (enterprise or SMB)
MSP, SaaS, or professional services experience preferred
