Job Description Overview: The Infrastructure Modernization team is seeking a skilled Senior Product Architect to play a critical role as a visionary and technical leader in our Workload Automation and DevOps solutions. Our solutions empower clients to automate essential business processes, ensure reliable workload execution, and enhance software development and deployment practices. This role requires deep expertise in automation technologies and DevOps pipeline methodologies. As a recognized thought leader, you will spearhead the evolution of our products to effectively meet the needs of enterprise mainframe and hybrid cloud environments. You will collaborate closely with customers, engineering teams, sales, and product management to deliver offerings that are robust, efficient, high-performing, and secure. Key modernization initiatives include: Leveraging generative and predictive AI to enhance operational outcomes and automate enterprise workflows. Designing scalable and resilient automation platforms for adaptive workloads. Creating modern and secure APIs to facilitate seamless integration with ecosystem partners. Streamlining deployments compatible with contemporary containerization and provisioning technologies. Delivering solutions that automate workflows across the entire hybrid enterprise stack. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain an automation architecture that showcases essential capabilities and forward-thinking value for customers. Manage requirements and backlog to ensure alignment with product strategy. Assess and recommend key features to support future-oriented use cases that promote competitive differentiation and market leadership. Provide insights related to evaluating and resolving technical debt. Explore opportunities for integrating automation within Rocket and partner ecosystems. Minimum Qualifications: 10+ years of experience in software engineering or technical product roles, with at least 5 years in a senior technical leadership position. In-depth knowledge of automation technologies, workload orchestration, and DevOps best practices. Proven experience with scalable and resilient platforms in hybrid cloud and mainframe environments. Strong proficiency in modern programming languages such as Java, Python, Go, etc., and expertise in API design. Hands-on experience with CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure-as-code tools. Familiarity with observability platforms, security best practices, and performance tuning. Demonstrated ability to define the technical vision and roadmap for enterprise solutions. Experience in mentoring global engineering teams while actively contributing on a technical level. Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Expertise in enterprise workload automation and integration with business processes. Understanding of AI/ML integration for automation scenarios. Exceptional communication and presentation skills. A capacity to thrive in a global, distributed work environment.
