We are looking for a Chain Account Manager to join our Team. In this role you will be responsible for developing and guiding the implementation of specific business plans, achieving sales and distribution targets, and for serving as the primary contact for a specific list of retail chains. In addition, the Chain Account Manager will be responsible for account specific programming, in coordination with the Sales and Marketing Departments.
Our Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Business Administration, or related field OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Our Preferred Qualifications
Three or more years of off-premise field experience selling alcoholic beverages.
Strong communication skills – written, verbal, persuasion, motivation, facilitation of strong working relationships.
Thorough understanding of sales and marketing strategies and practices
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Will occasionally involve weekend and evening activities with suppliers and retailers.
3 years field experience in sales alcoholic beverages or grocery industry strongly preferred.
Your Responsibilities
Responsible for all Glazer’s Beer and Beverage sales and profitability goals assigned.
Establish and maintain relationships with regional and national buyers.
Monitor and implement pricing, merchandising, and competitive activity.
Provide timely market information to management team regarding pricing, merchandising, and market trends.
Monitor field implementation and execution of national programs to ensure accurate product pricing; effective discount management; and management of program deadlines.
Coordinate and monitor ads, in-store features, and activities.
Monitor inventory levels to ensure product availability, replenishment, and distribution.
Track sales dollars and cases on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Identify short and long account opportunities and create plans to leverage products/relationships
Help coordinate, chain sales calls, vendor meetings, and vendor visits.
Partner with suppliers to identify and prospect chain account opportunities such as joint sales calls, product marketing/promotions and business reviews.
Help monitor the impact and effectiveness of programs currently in place.
Turn in monthly reports to the Regional Manager and attend all scheduled sales meetings.
Attending chain account promotions and events when necessary.
Participate in chain resets.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
Physical demands with a considerable amount of time include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (i.e., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or calculator.
Ability to travel daily and spend time in a vehicle.
Ability to frequently lift and/or move 30-to-40-pound cases and stand for extended periods of time.
