Overview Part of the Sales team, you are the driving force in bringing our products directly to customers. By interacting with trade, commercial and wholesale customers, you will engage with external partners and establish brand loyalty through a diverse product portfolio.. You must possess excellent communication skills, persuasive abilities, and a results-oriented mindset. You must also be adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced and competitive environment.

Responsibilities As the Leader of Retail, you will own the P&L and manage all aspects of the daily operations, driving growth and profitability of our Iconic American Standard Brand across the US and Canadian retail landscapes. You are a transformational leader with a proven track record of building strong and meaningful relationships within the retail channel. You drive commercial excellence, set high performance expectations, and ensure follow through on commitments. You understand that retail is no longer just "shelving products"—it’s about omnichannel integration, brand storytelling, and operational excellence. You will lead and develop a high-performing team to drive market share, optimize channel mix, and deepen our partnerships with the continent's largest retailers.

Qualifications Strategic Planning, Growth & P&L Ownership:

Leads with a general manager mindset, assuming accountability of all aspects of our retail partnerships, collaborating cross-functionally to “make things happen.”

Develops and executes multi-year sustainable sales strategies that align with manufacturing capabilities and long-term financial goals for the US and Canada.

Manage the full retail sales P&L budget, including channel and operational spend, promotional allowances, rebates, co-op, and COGS impact.

Has an advanced understanding of "Gross-to-Net" accounting, including the impact of rebates, returns, and price protection on the bottom line.

Constantly analyzes sales and other results versus plan and adjusts to attain or exceed it, while managing sales and distribution mix and balancing brand and financial objectives.

Analytical Rigor:

Ability to translate complex data sets into actionable sales stories for merchants.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Partner with Product Development and Supply Chain to ensure the "innovation pipeline" matches retail trends and that inventory levels support promotional "floor resets."

Market Intelligence:

Monitor macroeconomic indicators (housing starts, consumer credit trends) that specifically impact durable goods purchasing cycles.

Key Account & Channel Management:

Serve as the executive lead for high-stakes relationships with major retailers (e.g., The Home Depot, Lowe’s, Menards, and Specialty Retailers).

Has a fact-based mindset and analytical rigor capable of translating complex data, market intelligence, competitive threats, and customer strategy into insights that drive our go-to-market strategies and strengthen our positions with partners as category captains of our aisles.

Directs the "Go-to-Market" strategy, ensuring optimal floor placement, volume, mix, and "share of wallet."

Has a healthy sense of urgency to deliver predictable, profitable, and sustainable growth.

Understand the consumer and pro journey and leverage that understanding to deliver on results across in-aisle, online, and pro.

Lead continuous analysis of competitor pricing and promotional shifts, and have experience in providing insights on how price changes will impact unit volume in a durable purchase environment.

Owns all dimensions of the partnership, including service levels, inventory, terms. Maintains operating budgets/sales forecasts, and manages the overall sales, including customer scorecards and tracking.

Cross-Functional Partnership:

Works cross-functionally with segments, marketing, supply chain, finance, revenue management, etc. to find the right solution to meet both Lixil’s and customers’ objectives.

Builds an Indispensable Partnership: maintains deep knowledge of customer’s goals and objectives, ensuring alignment with what is important to them and understanding how this could impact the business. Drives a mutually beneficial relationship, constantly finding “win-win” solutions. Brings the retail partner along for the journey (e.g., developing a joint business plan and reviewing it regularly; innovation summits, QBR’s, PLR’s)

Collaborates with Brand, Product, and Marketing to shape segment strategies, and recommends product and marketing recommendations,, packaging, and pricing to maximize long-term market share

Partners internally and externally to launch retail innovations that solve consumer pain points and meet sustainability goals.

Builds trust, clarity, and momentum across the organization. Can influence others.

Team Leadership:

Mentor and scale a diverse team, fostering a culture of accountability, building capabilities, and inspiring the future

Constantly pursues commercial excellence with the team by treating it as a continuous improvement journey. Creating a culture that maximizes people's performance, potential and engagement.

15+ years in Sales, Retail, or General Management; at least 5 years in a senior management role.

Retail Channel Experience: Demonstrated commercial leadership and deep expertise across home center channels with key customers such as The Home Depot, Lowe’s, Menard’s, Amazon, etc., spanning customer segments in Canada and the US.

Proven track record in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or Durable Goods (Home Improvement preferred).

Expert-level P&L management and experience navigating complex trade spend and promotional modeling.

A "Master Negotiator" profile with existing high-level contacts in the North American retail space

Hiring Range The Hiring Salary Range For Remote Hires: Charlotte and Atlanta Area $207k - $257k. (Salary offer to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)

Other Compensation (if applicable):

This role will be eligible to participate in the annual Short Term Incentive plan.
