**Reports To:** Executive Director, Sales NA Airports## **Role Summary**The Airports Sales Intern will support the North America Airports Sales organization in advancing opportunities related to automated baggage handling, fleet‐based transport systems, and other airport automation solutions. This role provides hands‐on exposure to both the commercial sales process and the technical fundamentals of automation systems.You will work alongside Sales Engineers, Business Development Managers, and cross‐functional teams such as Engineering and Solution Design to support proposal development, research, analysis, and customer‐facing preparation.This internship is designed for candidates interested in developing skills at the intersection of **automation technology**, **technical sales**, and **airport operations.**## **Key Responsibilities**### **Sales & Commercial Support*** Assist with early‐stage opportunity qualification by gathering customer requirements, market information, and competitive intelligence.* Support preparation of proposals, presentations, and sales materials for airport automation solutions.* Contribute to internal pricing, scoping, and small‐project commercial reviews in collaboration with Sales Engineers and BDMs.### **Technical & Solution Support*** Aid in developing conceptual system layouts, automation flow descriptions, and solution overviews.* Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure proper interpretation of customer requirements and alignment of proposed technical solutions.* Support research on new automation modules (e.g., robotic loading, autonomous transport, fleet systems).### **Market & Product Research*** Analyze airport automation trends, TSA‐related requirements, and competitive offerings to support strategic sales initiatives.* Assist in documenting new technologies, use cases, and product updates.### **Cross‐Functional Collaboration*** Work with Sales Layout Engineering, R&D, MLS, and Project Execution teams to gather input for proposals and customer discussions.* Support continuous‐improvement activities relating to sales tools, visuals, modeling content, or standard proposal templates.## **Qualifications*** Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, Aviation, or a related field.* Interest in automation systems, airports, or material‐handling technologies.* Strong analytical and problem‐solving abilities.* Excellent communication and organizational skills.* Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‐paced, technical sales environment.## **Preferred Skills*** Familiarity with CAD, simulation tools, or 3D visualization software is a plus* Exposure to robotics, autonomous vehicles, or industrial automation concepts.* Previous internship or project experience in engineering, technology, or sales.## **What This Internship Offers*** Hands‐on involvement in real aviation‐automation sales pursuits.* Insight into end‐to‐end airport automation solutions—from layout design to commercial strategy.* Opportunity to collaborate with experienced sales, engineering, and technical specialists across the North American Airports team.* Development of commercial acumen and technical understanding applicable to future roles in Sales Engineering or Business Development.locations:
