Overview I am looking for a detail-oriented, curious, and passionate Part-Time PR Assistant to support public relations efforts for wine regions, wine brands, and food & wine events. This role is ideal for someone who loves the world of wine, hospitality, and media and wants hands-on experience working on PR campaigns and event activations. The position involves a mix of research, media monitoring, administrative PR support, and occasional event assistance. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working independently. Responsibilities Monitor and track media coverage using tools such as Google Alerts, Talkwalker, and Muck Rack Maintain and update PR trackers and coverage reports Conduct media research and build targeted media lists Assist with online research for story angles, industry trends, and potential media opportunities Support event planning logistics, such as venue research and vendor sourcing Assist with social media content creation and basic content planning Help create and schedule Mailchimp email campaigns Provide general administrative support related to PR campaigns Qualifications Some PR, communications, marketing, or media experience required (agency, brand, internship, or freelance) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently Excellent research and writing skills Interest in food, wine, hospitality, and events Familiarity with Muck Rack, Claude or similar tools is a plus Based in Austin preferred, though remote candidates will be considered Occasional opportunities to assist with media events, tastings, or TV segments Flexible schedule with mostly remote work Great opportunity to gain experience in food, wine, hospitality, and lifestyle PR We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, curious, and fun to work with, and who enjoys being part of creative campaigns in the food and wine world. #J-18808-Ljbffr
