As a Special Agent, your career will involve assignments in both investigations and protection, allowing for opportunities across various duty stations within the U.S. and internationally. Key responsibilities include: Providing protection for high-profile protectees. Conducting thorough criminal investigations related to financial obligations of the United States. Planning and implementing security measures for National Special Security Events. This role is unique and requires extraordinary individuals. Must hold a valid driver's license. Ability to carry and use a firearm; maintaining proficiency is mandatory. Applicants must be 21 years old at the time of application and younger than 40 at the time of referral.

(Exceptions may apply for individuals with current or previous federal law enforcement service under special retirement provisions, as age is vital to this position). Must obtain and uphold a Top Secret Clearance throughout your career. Uncorrected visual acuity must not exceed 20/100 binocular, with corrected visual acuity of 20/20 or better in each eye. Hearing loss must not surpass 25 decibels in either ear at the 500, 1000, and 2000Hz levels, as measured by an audiometer. Must submit to a drug test prior to appointment and participate in random drug testing throughout employment. Complete 13 weeks of intensive training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Glynco, GA, followed by 18 weeks of specialized training at the James J. Rowley Training Center in Laurel, MD. Sign a mobility agreement indicating willingness to accept assignments anywhere in the U.S. or overseas. If male, certify registration with the Selective Service System or exempt from such registration (for those born after December 31, 1959).
