About the Role
We are actively seeking a passionate and detail-oriented
Business Analyst / Technical Writer
to support our public health federal government client. In this role, you will be integral in writing technical requirement documents that guide our development teams on innovative technical solutions. Your contributions will be vital in documenting and sharing critical information pertinent to the Informatics Office projects and activities. This position is fully remote, allowing you the flexibility to work from anywhere in the United States. However, occasional on-site work may be required at the client’s location in Atlanta, GA, based on project needs. Key Responsibilities Act as a liaison between the Informatics Office and program teams to gather project requirements effectively. Create, edit, and finalize a variety of documents, including SOPs, technical documentation, white papers, and meeting materials, ensuring high-quality output. Ensure all documents and materials comply with 508 accessibility and usability standards. Establish and manage a comprehensive digital document library to store and share key deliverables with the Government. Collaborate with technical leads to provide documentation and writing support as needed. Organize and facilitate various project briefings, demonstrations, and training sessions for stakeholders and end-users. Perform other relevant duties as assigned to support project success. Required Skills and Experience Minimum of 1 year of experience writing and editing technical documents. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams). Ability to translate technical content into plain language for wider comprehension. Familiarity with 508 compliance is advantageous. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks independently while remaining flexible to additional requests. Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are essential. Experience with the CDC is preferred; candidates with a current or recent CDC badge are highly encouraged to apply. Must be able to pass required Federal background screening and obtain government clearance. Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship is required. Education and Training A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Public Health, Journalism, English, Communications, or a closely related field is required. Physical Requirements This role may require prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, with occasional lifting of items up to 25 pounds. Pay Range The projected annual salary range for this position is $64,000 - $70,000 USD.
