Senior Pastor – Clear River Community Church (CRCC)
Location: Manassas, Virginia | Status: Full time
Overview Clear River Community Church, a multi generational congregation of ~125, is seeking a Senior Pastor to lead our church. We blend historic Christian faith with Spirit dependent worship, gathering each Sunday to proclaim Scripture, pray, and meet Christ at His Table. The Senior Pastor focuses on preaching, pastoral care, leadership development, and administrative oversight.
Key Responsibilities
Word amp; Worship: Serve as primary preacher; with the Worship Director ensure theologically rich and sound services integrating Word, Spirit, and weekly Holy Communion.
Discipleship: Mentor staff and lay leaders; oversee Bible studies, small groups, and children/youth ministries to cultivate spiritual maturity and a heart for evangelism.
Pastoral Care: Provide spiritual counsel, prayer, and crisis support; officiate life events (weddings, funerals, baptisms) and oversee visitation for the sick.
Vision amp; Leadership: Partner with the leadership team to set strategic goals, lead local/global outreach, and manage daily church operations.
Administration: Oversee budget management and resource allocation with the Financial Team; ensure compliance with church policies and legal requirements.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's in theology or related field (Required); M.Div (Strongly Desired).
Experience: 8 10 years pastoral experience, with at least 3 5 years in senior leadership.
Theological Fit: Reformed understanding of Christ's presence in Communion; openness to the gifts of the Spirit; openness to / commitment to the CRCC Statement of Faith.
Skills: Compelling preaching, admin skills, people skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Compliance: Ordination (desired); willing to undergo criminal, credit, and media checks.
Accountability amp; Benefits Accountable to the Leadership team and Messenger Fellowship (current oversight).
