Duties
If selected at the GS-11 level, the below responsibilities will be performed in a developmental capacity.
Serves as a Contract Specialist, accomplishing negotiation, analysis, administration, evaluation and other pre/post-award functions in support of assigned aircraft and equipment.
Acquisition planning, preparation of cost and price analysis for designated actions, contract negotiations, execution, and contract administration.
Evaluates contractors past delivery performance to use in pre and post award determinations.
Establish necessary administrative controls and procedures to ensure contract compliance.
Serves as the central point of contact for pre-award and/or post-award contracting actions, performing work associated with a wide range of contract types and contract methods for the procurement of items, services and materials.

Appointment is subject to the completion of a favorable suitability or fitness determination, where reciprocity cannot be applied; unfavorably adjudicated background checks will be grounds for removal.
Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA): GS-11 Non-Exempt; GS-12 Exempt
Selective Service Requirement: Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service.
