**Job Responsibilities:**Responsible for design and release of automotive lighting systems and components from initial concept through production release. Collaborating with the Senior Designer, you will implement solid design concepts aligned with customer contract requirements. Conducting lamp level or component level packaging studies, you'll balance physical space limitations while defining CAD files that articulate design intent across various assembly levels.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with the Senior Designer to develop and implement solid design concepts to meet the requirements defined in customer contract. Perform vehicle level packaging studies, balancing physical space limitations, legal functional requirements, and manufacturing limitations. Exercise expert knowledge and skill when executing internal CAD change management, and when adapting to customer change management systems, in order to ensure accuracy and proper protocol when submitting math data.Reference corporate RASIC charts for specific details on program responsibilities and authorities.Perform other duties as required.Qualifications: A minimum of 4 years in automotive engineering with design experience in complex systems with subsystems/components. Automotive Lighting design experience is strongly preferred.Education / Experience Special Knowledge / Skills:
Ability to work and communicate with international Design team members.Proficiency in Microsoft Applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Demonstrated understanding of Standard Drafting Practices and the ability to define and interpret the principles of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.Demonstrated knowledge of BOM assemblies, extensions, LED lamps, A Surfacing, and reflectors and front-end modules. #J-18808-Ljbffr
