Commercial Lending Assistant
The Commercial Lending Assistant supports the commercial lending team by reviewing and coordinating loan documentation from approval through closing. In this role you will help ensure commercial loan files are accurate, compliant, and completed on time while delivering exceptional service to internal partners and business members. The responsibilities include: Review commercial loan documentation for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance. Coordinate with lenders, underwriters, attorneys, title companies, and borrowers to collect and verify required documentation. Track loan conditions, order third-party reports (appraisals, title work, etc.) and maintain well-organized loan files. Assist with servicing business accounts, including processing line of credit advances and conducting public records and credit searches. Support lenders in monitoring past-due payments, collateral documentation, insurance coverage, and financial statement exceptions. Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly portfolio and production reports. Ensure strict adherence to all regulatory requirements, credit union policies, and internal procedures. The ideal candidate will bring: Minimum one (1) year of experience in commercial lending and loan documentation preferred. A two-year college degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience). Strong attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative and service-oriented mindset. Who We Are
