Director of Stewardship & Generosity (Exempt), Reports to Executive Director, Congregational Vitality & Intentional Discipleship
The Director of Stewardship & Generosity works to fulfill the mission of Discipleship Ministries by directing the work of Stewardship & Generosity by convening strategic conversations, being a broker of knowledge, and creating excellent resources that support lay and clergy leaders in their ministries of stewardship and the formation of generous disciples across all contexts (multicultural, multiracial, multigenerational, etc.). This position creates and manages a plan for training and communicating with leaders in conferences, districts, and congregations to strengthen leaders in stewardship, formation of disciples growing in generosity, and Intentional Discipleship Systems for the revitalization of congregations. Includes training opportunities through webinars and/or distance learning, web-based self-training, face-to-face, etc. Will also create original materials and partners to distribute widely used resources as a broker of knowledge for Stewardship and the formation of generous disciples. Work closely with the Marketing and Delivery Team to share created and acquired resources on Discipleship Ministries platforms. Will also conduct ongoing research needed to develop in-depth knowledge that can be utilized in innovative ways in resources, training, and networks for strengthening the congregation’s Stewardship ministries and formation of generous disciples. This includes the regular convening of strategic conversations within those networks, deep listening to practitioners across different contexts and cultures, and in conversations across agency and denominational lines. Education / Experience
Master’s Degree – MBA or Masters of Divinity or equivalent. Six - seven years of experience in the work of stewardship, church finance/business administration, or equivalency in connectional church ministries. Compensation and Benefits
Salary range is $76,000 - $83,000 based on experience Benefits include health insurance (medical, prescription, dental, vision), life insurance, and other supplementals, short-term and long-term disability.
