We, A Walk With Mamas, Inc., are a black women-led nonprofit organization whose mission is to improve maternal health for all parents in the greater Los Angeles Area through holistic, family-centered perinatal care, regardless of gender, race, class, and sexual orientation. We are driven by our personal experiences with birth trauma and postpartum mood and anxiety disorders that were met with siloed community resources. We aim to contribute to the improvement of maternal health in the County of Los Angeles and eventually nationally.

We're looking for a volunteer to help us save time and be more strategic with our social media presence. Specifically, you'll create strategy, automation, content calendar & creation one month worth of social posting to help us relaunch our brand and launch our course, while managing our multiple social media channels.

You're a great fit for us if you're passionate about our mission, you have a background in managing professional social media accounts, and you can spend ten hours over one to three weeks on this project.

We originally created our social media strategy ourselves. However, we realize that the sphere of social media is much more complex than what we had envisioned, and we need help to optimize our current strategy, ultimately contributing to a solid foundation of our brand awareness, attraction of parents who will utilize our services, and community stakeholders who will engage in our endeavors alongside us.

As we work tirelessly to grow, your support will contribute to building awareness about the services we provide toward the improvement of maternal health in our community! If you are well-versed in social media strategy and passionate about community health improvement, this project is calling your name!

Responsibilities Our work will take place over multiple meetings in six to nine weeks. In our first meeting, the volunteer should interview us about our prior strategy, like-minded organizations, and our prior strategy. Then, they'll review our current social media channels to synthesize the information into a current state briefing. The volunteer will then engage in copywriting our marketing strategy, automation, content, and we will engage in check-ins, where a member or members of our team will provide feedback as needed. We will also provide you with our events calendar, b-rolls, webpage assets, logo, brand bible, and other relevant social media handles of organizations that are pillars in our sector.

Mission Our mission is to bridge the gap of access to holistic perinatal care for ALL parents, regardless of gender, race, class, and sexual orientation. Services offered include doula, lactation, and mental health support.
