Job Title: Architectural Designer
Job Description
We are seeking a talented Architectural Designer with 5 years of experience to join our dynamic and collaborative studio environment. You will work on data center projects, requiring a highly motivated, agile individual with strong technical and design capabilities. Proficiency in Revit is crucial, as we have a wealth of senior staff to provide training and support.
Responsibilities
Compile data and perform design computations in collaboration with the project team.
Work with senior designers and project teams on conceptual designs, presentations, design development, and production to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Apply creative design concepts to projects and expand on concepts developed by others.
Participate in project proposals to develop innovative design solutions.
Understand industry-standard construction techniques, building regulations, and engineering principles to apply to project plans.
Support design efforts and client presentations to foster client relationships.
Develop, modify, and review drawings to incorporate design intent.
Produce graphic presentations, 3D renderings, and implementation documents.
Collaborate on the development of design throughout appropriate phases of the project.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in Revit architecture.
Experience in all phases of design.
5+ years of commercial experience, including construction administration and construction drawings.
Understanding of design development and construction documentation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
BS in architecture preferred.
Pursuing licensure.
Basic understanding of codes and ADA.
Client interfacing personality.
3+ years of experience in the field.
Work Environment The position offers a flexible work environment with 3 days in the office and 2 days working remotely. Our firm competes internationally with some of the biggest names in the industry, with offices in multiple states and a portfolio that spans across multiple disciplines. The Richmond office is organized into three main studios: Healthcare, Mission Critical, and Sports. We also engage in K-12, Hospitality, and Life Science projects. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, VA.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.84 - $36.00/hr.
