
Marketing Development Specialist

The Marketing Development Representative sits at the intersection of Marketing and Sales and is responsible for converting demand into qualified pipeline. You will qualify inbound leads, run targeted outbound follow-up, support account-based marketing (ABM) initiatives, and provide reporting that helps optimize campaign performance.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and qualify inbound leads from phone, website, events, and digital campaigns.
Conduct discovery conversations to assess ICP fit, buying intent, and sales readiness.
Execute structured outbound follow-up to engaged prospects and marketing-generated leads.
Schedule qualified meetings for Account Executives and ensure seamless handoffs.
Support targeted outbound and ABM campaigns, including account research and stakeholder mapping.
Coordinate multi-channel outreach to priority accounts and share engagement insights with Sales.
Maintain accurate lead routing, lifecycle stages, and activity tracking in Salesforce.com.
Support marketing automation workflows in HubSpot and audience targeting in Demandbase.
Monitor and improve lead scoring, segmentation, and routing processes; ensure CRM data hygiene.
Track and report on conversion rates and campaign contribution to pipeline, providing recommendations to improve lead quality, speed-to-lead, and pipeline velocity.
Qualifications
1–3+ years of successful B2B SaaS experience in marketing development, business development, or demand generation.
Strong business acumen, with experience engaging mid-market to enterprise organizations.
Experience with Salesforce.com, HubSpot, and Demandbase.
Familiarity with CRM management, marketing automation platforms, and ABM tools.
Analytical mindset with comfort working in reporting dashboards and performance metrics.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, business, or a related field.
