Pay: $2,500-$2,500 per 16 week course (Pay range may vary based on geographic location)
Description : The Department of Visual Arts & Music at Columbia College, Missouri Day Campus seeks an Adjunct (part-time) instructor to teach Fiber Arts in FA 26 at 8:00 am - 10:50 am on T/TH.
Columbia College is known for its small class sizes, which enrich teaching and mentoring experiences. The successful candidate will join faculty and staff committed to innovative, student-centered pedagogy at a liberal arts and sciences teaching institution located in Columbia, MO, one of America’s most livable small cities. The Department of Visual Arts and Music currently has six other full-time faculty. This position will support students pursuing degrees in the BA in Graphic Design, BA in Art, and the Bachelor of Fine Arts.
Qualifications : Minimum requirements include a master’s degree in the discipline, or 18 semester/27 quarter hours of graduate work in the discipline, or an undergraduate degree with a minimum of three years demonstrated relevant professional experience. Exceptions may be considered with approval of the dean. The position requires an ability to effectively teach undergraduate courses, a commitment to student-centered learning, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a willingness to use various instructional technologies.
