Associate Compensation Consultant
Hanna Resource Group, a human resource consulting firm, is looking for a dedicated, detail-oriented Associate Compensation Consultant to join our team. The Associate Compensation Consultant provides compensation guidance and strategic support to our small and mid-sized clients. This person must demonstrate strong business acumen and possess an entrepreneurial spirit with a genuine desire to deliver results proactively and consistently for our clients. The Consultant will report to the Director of Compensation and work directly with our clients in developing and executing customized compensation programs. HRG Consultants currently work remotely or onsite (at client sites) several days per week. HRG offers the opportunity to practice HR leadership in a flexible environment that values high quality HR practices, independence, and professional growth. HRG Consultants learn and develop through their work serving as HR leaders for our clients in differing industries and workplaces. Key Responsibilities: Manage relationships with up to 100 clients across various industries and company sizes, juggling competing priorities, timelines, and scopes of work while staying responsive and delivering strong, consistent service Conduct compensation analyses including salary benchmarking, job evaluation, and market pricing Design and implement base pay structures and salary ranges Advise clients on compensation strategy aligned with business objectives Perform pay equity analyses and provide recommendations to ensure fair and compliant compensation practices Develop compensation policies, guidelines, and governance frameworks Support annual compensation planning cycles Interpret compensation survey data and provide actionable insights to clients Present findings and recommendations to HR leaders and executive stakeholders Develop content and provide training to HRG team members, clients, and the community regarding the current issues and newest developments in human resources Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field required (advanced HR degree is a plus) 2+ years of HR experience in human resources, preferably in compensation, HR consulting, or total rewards preferred Demonstrated initiative and ability to operate in a highly dynamic environment, managing multiple responsibilities, stakeholders, and competing priorities Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with clients Must possess "consulting skills" and be viewed as professional and knowledgeable to our clients Must work at a fast-pace and manage multiple accounts and priorities where timeliness, responsiveness, quality, and client satisfaction are key Strong analytical and quantitative skills Excellent organizational and time management skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook Demonstrated excellence in previous HR or compensation roles Professional HR Certification is strongly desired (PHR/SPHR and/or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP) HR and business operations experience supporting small to mid-size organizations
