Tax Advisor
This individual will oversee complex tax preparation, multi-entity return review, tax planning, IRS/state resolution support, and integrated planning in partnership with Investment Advisers and other internal subject-matter experts. You will serve as the primary tax authority within the firm, supporting high-net-worth families with strategic planning around income, investments, distributions, Roth conversions, charitable giving, and multigenerational wealth strategies. This is a highly visible role that collaborates closely with the CEO, CCO, an elder-law attorney, and a Medicare planning specialist. Skills and requirements: Active CPA or EA credential in good standing Experience with Drake tax software 5-10+ years of professional tax preparation and tax planning experience Strong background preparing and reviewing complex individual and entity returns (trusts, estates, partnerships, S corps, etc.) Hands-on client advisory experience (strategy, planning, consultations) Experience reviewing prior-year returns to identify errors or missed opportunities Ability to support IRS and state notice responses Leadership or mentorship experience within a tax practice Prior work in wealth management, family office, or financial advisory settings Experience with holistic planning: retirement income, distributions, Roth strategies, charitable planning, etc. Familiarity with Indiana Department of Revenue filings and processes
