Our client is a fast-growing international SaaS company operating in the financial software space. The company provides advanced automation solutions that help organizations optimize financial processes, increase visibility, and improve operational efficiency. With 800+ FTE over 12 offices worldwide they established themselves as a Gartner Magic Quadrant leader in their field.

With strong product-market fit and continued growth across Europe, the company is now looking to strengthen its commercial leadership by hiring a Sales Director for the Benelux.

The Role

Sales Director Benelux will be responsible for leading and scaling the regional sales organization while owning the commercial success of the Benelux market. You will lead a team consisting of 3 Account Executives, a BDR, and a Business Development Lead, with additional growth expected as the region continues to scale.

This is a hands‑on leadership role where the successful candidate will run the regional market while also managing the day‑to‑day performance of the team. Over time, the role is expected to evolve from first‑line leadership into second‑line management as the organization grows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own Regional Revenue Performance
  • Deliver regional bookings and revenue targets
  • Drive pipeline growth and forecasting accuracy
  • Ensure consistent sales execution across the team Lead and Develop the Sales Team
  • Coach individuals to consistently achieve quota
  • Build a culture of accountability and high performance
  • Hire and scale the team as the region grows
  • Drive Operational Excellence
  • Establish strong sales discipline, forecasting, and pipeline management
  • Improve consistency of execution across territories
  • Build predictable pipeline generation Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Work closely with BDRs, Partnerships, and Marketing to strengthen top-of-funnel activity
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across EMEA
  • Contribute as part of the EMEA commercial leadership team

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in B2B SaaS sales , with a significant portion in a commercial leadership role.
  • Experience in FinTech or financial software , ideally within areas such as payments, spend management, AP automation, procurement, or finance platforms.
  • Proven track record of leading regional sales teams and delivering against bookings and revenue targets .
  • Strong background in new business SaaS sales , ideally in mid‑market or enterprise environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, manage, and scale predictable pipeline and revenue growth .
  • Experience coaching and developing Account Executives to consistently achieve quota.
  • Comfortable operating in a hands‑on leadership role , combining strategic market ownership with day‑to‑day team leadership.
  • Strong sales operational discipline , including forecasting accuracy, pipeline management, and execution rigor.
  • Experience working in cross-functional environments , collaborating with marketing, partnerships, BDR teams, and customer success.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English
  • Comfortable working in a remote setup
