Overview
Medtronic is seeking a Director of Manufacturing IT to lead IT operations supporting manufacturing systems across sites in Juncos, Puerto Rico and Northridge, California. The role focuses on ensuring reliability, security, and compliance of manufacturing IT systems while leading cross-site teams and driving operational improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead manufacturing IT operations and support across multiple sites.
- Manage PLCs, MES (Factoryorx), machine integration web services, and manufacturing reporting systems.
- Ensure system uptime, security, and GxP/FDA compliance.
- Provide 1st–3rd level support for production systems.
- Lead IT teams and vendors supporting manufacturing environments.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and global IT teams.
- Drive system implementations, automation, and digital transformation initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years IT experience with 7+ years leadership experience.
- Strong experience in manufacturing IT environments.
- Expertise in PLCs, MES (Factoryorx preferred), and system integrations.
- Experience in regulated environments (FDA/GxP).
Preferred
- Experience with SAP ECC or S/4HANA.
- Background in medical device or regulated manufacturing.
- Exposure to robotics/automation systems.
