Overall Purpose
Responsible for leading and delivering complex business and technical projects, including project planning and execution spanning multiple organizations. The role defines and delivers solutions that have a long‑term beneficial impact on products, technology, or engineering. It ensures that projects follow product and project methodologies and are completed on time, within budget, and in scope. The role manages a team of TPMs and mentors others, engaging cross‑organizational stakeholders throughout the full project lifecycle of large complex innovative programs.
Essential Functions
- Lead a team of Technical Program Managers to effectively deliver Software Product Development programs and projects, working closely with engineering, product risk, fraud, legal and compliance.
- Enforce and improve EWS‑specific product and project lifecycle process from discovery to post‑deployment in compliance with Audit, Risk, and Compliance committees.
- Report on project tracking, including results, metrics, testing, and deployment activities to stakeholders.
- Prepare detailed project plans and status reports for all project phases, detailing milestones, success criteria, deliverables, dependencies, and risks.
- Monitor projects on an ongoing basis, evaluate progress, and proactively mitigate risks and resolve issues.
- Define high‑level technical requirements and long‑term design, work with technical leadership to drive end‑to‑end solutions, and influence technical decisions.
- Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks by developing contingency plans.
- Communicate ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing, to all audiences including CXO and directs, building consensus and leading resolution of contentious issues.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and milestones.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including technical specifications, project plans, and status reports.
- Drive the Annual Planning process for technology teams and build the long‑term roadmap in partnership with all stakeholders.
- Own and manage multiple interrelated project workstreams, ensuring resources, budgets, and timelines are maintained.
- Provide effective leadership in developing highly engaged, high‑performance teams.
- Support the company's commitment to risk management and protect the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience managing large complex projects in a technical or software development environment, with at least 5 years of leadership experience.
- Strong technical background and experience working with engineering or development teams.
- Experience in financial institutions or similarly regulated industries, and/or software development with background in data processing, application systems, and communication systems.
- Strong team player with ability to coach and mentor others.
- Effective relationship‑building and collaboration skills leading diverse, cross‑functional teams on one or more complex projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills with the ability to tailor messages to varying audiences.
- Highly engaged, self‑starter who balances results with fostering collaboration.
- Proactive in identifying and driving process improvements within the organization.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated people leadership in business and technical environments.
- Background with drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications
- Agile / ScrumMaster certifications and/or related certifications.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or related certifications.
- Lean Six Sigma or Project Management certification and/or related certifications.
- Demonstrated people leadership in business and technical environments.
Physical Requirements
Work is primarily sedentary, requiring extensive computer use and periods of sitting for about four hours. Occasional standing, walking, kneeling, and reaching may be required. Ability to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally. Visual acuity and dexterity required to view, prepare, and manipulate documents and office equipment. Ability to communicate with internal and external customers. Employees must be able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Base Salary
Base pay scale for this position in Phoenix, AZ / Chicago, IL: USD 200,000 – 250,000 per year.
San Francisco, CA: USD 240,000 – 300,000 per year.
Additionally, candidates are eligible for a discretionary incentive plan and benefits. Pay scale may vary based on location, experience and other factors.
