Director of Private Event Sales (Hospitality / Event Sales) – Nashville, IN

$65,000 Base + Tiered Commission (OTE $75,000–$110,000)

Hard Truth Distilling Co. is seeking a high‑performing Director of Private Event Sales to own, grow, and scale private event sales across our 325‑acre destination distillery campus in Brown County.

This role exists for one reason: to significantly increase private event revenue and build a best‑in‑class private events business for the long term.

This is a sales‑first, revenue leadership position, not an event coordinator role. The Director of Private Event Sales is hyper‑focused on selling high‑value private events, developing a strong pipeline, and closing business. Event execution and administrative support are intentionally built into the role through an Event Support Specialist, allowing the Director to prioritize revenue generation while maintaining strategic involvement in select events.

What You’ll Own

  • Full ownership of private event sales revenue growth
  • Development and execution of a scalable private event sales strategy
  • Proactive pipeline generation across corporate, social, and buyout business
  • Consultative selling of elevated, experience‑driven private events
  • Pricing strategy, deal structuring, and value‑based selling
  • Collaboration with culinary, beverage, tours, and operations teams
  • Strategic presence at select high‑impact events to ensure guest satisfaction and repeat business

Events You Will Sell (High‑Margin Focus)

  • Corporate & B2B: Executive retreats, client appreciation events, sales kickoffs and incentive trips, product launches and media events
  • Celebration & Social: Weddings and wedding weekend buyouts, rehearsal dinners and post‑wedding brunches, bachelor and bachelorette celebrations, milestone and holiday events, black‑tie galas
  • Buyouts & Destination Experiences: Full‑property and venue buyouts (including Hard Truth on the Rocks), multi‑day campus takeovers, destination event weekends, large‑scale private experiences
  • Private Event Enhancements: Limited‑access or after‑hours campus events, curated food and beverage experiences, premium add‑ons sold in conjunction with private events
  • Additional Premium Opportunities: Nonprofit fundraisers, industry and association events, influencer, creator, and press gatherings

Tour center programming, tastings, and public events are primarily owned by the Tour Center and Public Event teams. This role is focused on private, revenue‑driven event sales.

Who We’re Looking For

This role is designed for a proven closer and builder, not an entry‑ or mid‑level event sales manager.

  • 5+ years of private event, hospitality, or experiential sales experience
  • Demonstrated track record of exceeding revenue goals and driving growth
  • Strong consultative selling, presentation, and closing skills
  • Strategic thinker who can also execute
  • Comfortable owning results and being held accountable to a number
  • Passion for elevated hospitality and experience‑driven storytelling
