Job Title: Sales Director – Kids Off-Price
Position Overview
Seeking a Sales Director, Kids Off-Price to lead and grow its children’s apparel business within the off-price retail channel. This role will focus on expanding distribution for the brand’s core denim and sweater categories, developing strategic partnerships with key retailers, and driving consistent revenue growth. The ideal candidate brings strong relationships with major off-price and value retailers, a deep understanding of the kids apparel market, and a proven ability to build and scale programs across multiple accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Account Development & Management
- Manage and grow key off-price retail accounts including TJX Companies (TJ Maxx/Marshalls), Ross Stores, Stitch Fix, Burlington Stores, Dillard's, and Belk / Belk Outlet .
- Identify and open new opportunities with additional off-price and value retail accounts nationwide.
- Maintain strong relationships with buyers and merchants to drive repeat business and expand assortments.
Sales Strategy & Growth
- Develop and execute sales strategies to grow the kids denim and sweater categories, the company’s key product drivers.
- Forecast demand, plan assortments, and align pricing strategies to meet off-price market expectations.
- Negotiate programs, pricing, and delivery schedules to maximize profitability and sell‑through.
Market Expansion
- Identify emerging opportunities within the off-price landscape and introduce new product opportunities to buyers.
- Monitor market trends, competitive positioning, and pricing dynamics within kids apparel.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with design, merchandising, and production teams to develop product assortments tailored to off-price customers.
- Work closely with operations and supply chain teams to ensure timely order execution and inventory flow.
Leadership & Strategic Input
- Serve as a key voice in shaping the company’s off-price sales strategy for the kids category.
- Mentor junior sales team members as the business grows.
Qualifications
- 7–12+ years of wholesale apparel sales experience, preferably in kids apparel or denim.
- Proven success selling into major off-price and value retail accounts.
- Established relationships with buyers at leading off-price retailers.
- Strong understanding of off-price pricing structures, inventory flow, and margin requirements.
- Experience managing large-volume programs and seasonal assortments.
