We are seeking a motivated Business Development Professional with at least 5 years of experience in organ procurement logistics to join our growing team. This role is at the heart of connecting hospitals, organ procurement organizations (OPOs), and transplant centers with our specialized air and ground medical transportation solutions.

Aery is intentionally scaling its Air Medical Transportation division with the objective to double—and ultimately triple—medical transport revenue , surpassing established and respected competitors such as REVA, AirMed, NORA, Global Medical Response (GMR) and Trinity Medical Solutions . The creation of this role marks a pivotal investment in national growth.
Aery Aviation is seeking its first Director of Air Medical Sales, a senior, hands-on sales executive responsible for national growth, major account development, and brand penetration across the air medical ecosystem. This role owns strategic account acquisition , dedicated transport program development , and high-value ad hoc medical missions , with a primary focus on securing long-term, repeatable revenue streams similar to Aery’s Cleveland Clinic fixed-wing program .
The Director of Air Medical Sales will serve as the face of Aery Aviation to transplant hospitals, OPOs, insurers, and healthcare partners nationwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and grow national air medical sales revenue , with direct accountability for results.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with OPOs, transplant centers, and healthcare partners. Build trusted executive-level relationships with clinical, procurement, and operational stakeholders.
- Develop new business opportunities in the field of organ transportation and special mission medical logistics.
- Collaborate with operations and dispatch teams to ensure seamless, time-critical service delivery.
- Analyze industry trends and identify growth opportunities in the organ transplantation sector.
- Represent the company at healthcare, aviation, and transplant industry events.
- Drive revenue growth through consultative sales, proposals, and partnership development.
- Provide market intelligence on competitors, pricing trends, and customer expectations.
- Develop new visionary service offerings for Aery Aviation for the air medical clients. Supporting leadership with forecasts, pipeline visibility, and strategic recommendations.
Qualifications (required knowledge, skills, abilities, and certifications/licenses):
- Minimum 5 years of professional direct sales experience in organ procurement, transplant logistics, or a closely related healthcare field. 10+ years total experience in the air medical / transplant / critical care transportation industry.
- Strong knowledge of OPO workflows, transplant timelines, and critical logistics coordination.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment with precision and professionalism.
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Must be willing to travel as needed (up to 50% of the time).
- Comfortable working independently in a remote and traveling environment.
- Existing relationships with: Transplant centers and surgeons; OPO leadership; Hospital executives and Insurance and medical assistance providers.
- Proven track record of closing complex, high-value service agreements.
- Exceptional executive presence, credibility, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment with national travel
Accountability and Performance Measures:
Weekly:
- New relationship outreach and executive-level meetings
- Pipeline development and opportunity progression, document in CRM
- Internal coordination with operations and leadership.
Monthly:
- Revenue performance vs. plan
- New account acquisition progress
- Proposal submissions and conversions
- Market intelligence reporting
Quarterly:
- Strategic account wins and renewals
- Revenue growth trajectory
- Brand penetration benchmarks
- Executive review of pipeline, risks, and opportunities
12-Month Success Metrics:
- Increase air medical sales revenue by at least 50%
- Secure at least one new flagship account comparable to the Cleveland Clinic program
- Establish Aery Aviation as a known and preferred provider among:
- OPOs
- Transplant hospitals
- Insurance and medical assistance companies
- Other air medical operators and competitors
- Build a sustainable national sales pipeline capable of continued scale
Annual Training Requirements (Subject to Change):
- New hire training on all Aery systems, software and polices/procedures
- ISO-9001 / AS-9100D training
- Aery Part 135 operational training
- CAMTS / NAAMTA training
- Sales and GovWin training
