Base pay range

$149,000.00/yr - $500,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

As a Director in Interest Rate Sales at Societe Generale, you will be a key player on the trading floor, delivering value-driven solutions to institutional clients and contributing to the growth of our global Rates business with a focus on the US. Responsibilities include:

  • Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse client base, including asset managers, hedge funds, pension funds, insurance companies, and other institutional investors. Act as a trusted advisor, understanding client objectives, and tailoring interest rate solutions to meet risk management needs. Maintain active trading dialogue and manage the full onboarding process, including KYC, documentation, and regulatory considerations.
  • Market and Product Expertise: Provide analysis on U.S. Treasury securities, interest rate swaps, swaptions, and fixed-income derivatives. Conduct macroeconomic analysis and market trend assessments to develop actionable strategies.
  • Trade Execution: Collaborate with trading teams for accurate and compliant execution of client orders. Manage the entire sales lifecycle from pre-trade to post-trade analysis.
  • Strategy Development and Revenue Generation: Develop trade strategies aligned with client objectives and market conditions. Identify new business opportunities to expand the client base and revenue.
  • Team Collaboration and Leadership: Work with internal teams and mentor junior staff to foster a high-performance environment.
  • Risk Management and Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and mitigate sales activities risks.
  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry developments, leveraging technology and data to improve strategies and client outcomes.

Minimum Requirements

Profile: Deep expertise in US Rates markets, including Treasuries, TIPS, interest rate swaps, and options. Proven modeling skills, at least 6 years in a client-facing sales role, and a relevant bachelor's degree. Fluency in English is essential.

Preferred: Relationships with institutional clients like asset managers and insurance companies. Skills in trade analysis, complex transaction structuring, and programming languages such as VBA or Python are advantageous.
