Director of Sales (East or West Region) – Food Packaging (Distribution)

Location: Remote, U.S. (Eastern or Western regions)

Compensation: $100,000–$125,000 base + uncapped commission (35% of GP) | OTE $400K–$500K+

Travel: Regional travel + quarterly visits to HQ

The Role

You’ll lead and grow either the Eastern or Western U.S. region as a player/coach , managing 1–2 Account Executives and 1 Account Manager while also maintaining direct customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the regional sales strategy.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a small high‑performing sales team.
  • Manage key accounts and drive new business development.
  • Represent a technically led, consultative sales model to major food processors.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with R&D, operations, and automation teams to deliver client solutions.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience as a Regional Sales Director, Business Development Manager, or Senior Sales Leader within the food packaging industry .
  • Strong technical knowledge of films, flexibles, or rigid containers , and ability to sell complex, value‑based solutions.
  • A hunter mindset with a track record of business growth and long‑term relationship management.
  • Experience managing and motivating outside sales teams.
  • Personality fit: driven, competitive, and growth‑oriented.

Compensation & Structure

  • Base Salary: $100,000–$125,000 (negotiable for industry veterans)
  • Commission: 35% of gross profit, uncapped
  • Structure: Draw against commission, transitioning to 100% commission as earnings exceed base
  • Top performers currently earning $500K+ OTE

Additional Information

  • Remote position – candidates can be based anywhere in the U.S.
  • Quarterly travel to headquarters for strategy meetings and cultural alignment.
