Senior Director, Asset Management

This leadership role is based in our Miami office and will lead the Asset Management Team for Princess Cruises, fostering collaboration across the corporation and implementing an asset management framework strategy while guiding Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across the fleet.

Responsibilities

  • Build & Manage the Asset Management Team
  • Define clear roles and responsibilities between Operations (PODS) and Asset Management (SMEs)
  • Maintain strong communication channels with counterparts across other brands
  • Identify gaps in subject matter expertise and implement solutions
  • Provide support as needed and foster the development of SME capabilities
  • Drive Asset Management and Develop Standard Framework: develop the framework in cooperation with other Maritime Operations teams
  • Set schedules to ensure team members allocate adequate time frames to support and execute asset management activities
  • Work toward enhanced Amos standardization in collaboration with APS & MAST teams
  • Establish a permanent focus on energy efficiency: ensure all commissioned and future energy‑efficiency projects are maintained to intended standards; drive ongoing engagement of shipboard and shoreside teams; implement periodic surveys or other monitoring methods to track the condition and performance of shipboard systems
  • Support PCL Fleet for Safety Systems: work with OEMs and vendors to accomplish long‑term planning for safety assets; manage lifecycle and maintenance intervals; identify critical parts; create schedules for annual maintenance and drydock work scopes; support day‑to‑day POD operations; ensure follow‑up on annual safety equipment services; liaise with flag‑state authorities and classification societies to coordinate regulatory requirements
  • Support New Build: liaise with new‑build PM, POD leads, Warranty Manager & CCS to provide subject‑matter expertise
  • Prepare and oversee project/capex and applicable repair & maintenance budgets: timely submission; correct execution and progress reporting of projects
  • Manage contracts under responsibility and liaise with procurement for: Wartsila PBL; Carrier Chiller Maintenance; Siemens HVAC Control; Wartsila AWWTS Support; Ecospray AAQS support

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Preferred certifications: Marine Engineering / Project Management
  • 10+ years of seagoing experience in relevant technical roles
  • 5+ years of shoreside experience in asset management or related roles
  • Leadership experience: 5+ years in a shoreside leadership role managing operational teams; 5+ years in a shipboard leadership role leading technical teams
  • Required seagoing shipboard experience with maintenance of fire safety systems; preferred experience with engine systems, life‑saving appliances (LSA), and environmental systems
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage complex projects and make decisions with significant financial impact
  • Proficiency in technical and computer systems relevant to asset management
  • Position is hybrid, following the company schedule of days in the office per week (Monday – Thursday)
  • Beginning in 2028, this role will transition to our new headquarters in the Miami, FL area
