Responsibilities:
- Oversee financial planning, analysis, and modeling for multiple lines of business including brokerage, construction, communities, and energy platforms.
- Lead the preparation and accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for all entities, ensuring transparent audit trails.
- Manage accounts payable, receivable, general ledger maintenance, intercompany transactions, and reconciliations.
- Coordinate annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, variance analysis, and alignment with long‑term company growth objectives.
- Serve as the key contact for external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions to facilitate audits, tax filings, and financing activities.
- Direct payroll and compensation administration for employees and independent contractors.
- Lead HR strategy including benefits management, compliance with labor laws, onboarding/offboarding, and policy development.
- Support performance management processes and drive company culture across business lines with over 50 employees.
Must‑Have Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or human resources or similar
- 5+ years of accounting and finance experience
- Strong financial modeling, FP&A, financial reporting, and forecasting skills.
- Experience with HR administration, benefits programs, and payroll systems management.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and understanding of employment law/compliance.
- Effective communicator with cross‑departmental collaboration skills and attention to detail in financial and HR processes.
Nice‑to‑Have Skills:
- CPA, CMA, SHRM or PHR certification.
- Prior experience managing and / or building a team.
- Prior experience in the real estate industry.
