Director of Finance (H/F) - SAFRAN USA INC.

This position reports directly to the Safran USA CFO and is responsible for managing the controlling of SUSA, SHRS, and other entities, as well as various financial activities for Safran USA based in Dallas.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring adequate internal controls, integrity of financial statements, reporting, forecasting, planning, costing and continuous improvement in financial and management reporting.
  • The head of controlling reports to the CFO and manages a team of 5 controllers in SUSA and 2 controllers in SSNA.
  • Hands‑on position with high visibility and daily interactions.
  • Work closely with senior management of Safran USA in Dallas (GM, HR, Tax, Purchasing, Legal, etc.) to improve the company’s financial performance.
  • Manage month‑end and year‑end close processes through BFC‑Convergence, the group financial reporting tool.
  • Prepare budgets by leading, collecting, analyzing and consolidating financial data, recommending plans and driving performance improvement through key performance indicators.
  • Coordinate with the tax department on tax consolidation matters: tax cash flow and tax consolidation entries in books.
  • Ensure controls and procedures are in place; perform testing and evaluations of processes according to SAFRAN’s internal control process (annual group Internal Control campaign, reporting through I-CARE).
  • Supervise filing of the survey report to the government at a U.S. consolidated level (over 25 entities in scope).
  • Integrate new entities into the U.S. group following M&A activities.
  • Handle and improve accounting processes and activities: monthly closing, revenue generation, accounts receivable and accounts payable analysis.
  • Drive financial and administrative process and system improvements to deliver best‑in‑class business and decision‑making support processes, including collaboration with affiliates and SAFRAN SA directions in France headquarters.
  • Support requirements for internal audit, Mazars, and tax auditors.
  • Lead team(s) in identifying, quantifying and mitigating risk.

Education / Experience

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Accounting from an accredited institution.
  • Audit experience – Minimum of 10 years of accounting and finance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • CPA or CMA certification.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP & IFRS accounting.
