As a LATAM Financial Services Account Executive at Anthropic, you’ll be part of the foundational team bringing frontier AI to financial institutions across LATAM. You'll drive the adoption of safe, frontier AI by securing strategic deals with banks, insurance companies, and financial research institutions in LATAM. You'll leverage your consultative sales expertise in the financial services sector to propel revenue growth while becoming a trusted partner to financial stakeholders, helping them embed and deploy AI while uncovering its full range of capabilities in banking, research, and administration. In collaboration with GTM, Product, and Marketing teams, you'll continuously refine our value proposition, sales methodology, and market positioning to resonate with financial decision-makers across Latin America.

Responsibilities

  • Win new business and drive revenue for Anthropic within the LATAM financial services sector. Navigate the diverse financial institutions across Latin America to reach key decision-makers, understand regional regulatory requirements, and help them succeed with Anthropic. You’ll own the full sales cycle in your territory, from initial outbound to close.
  • Design and execute innovative sales strategies tailored to the financial services procurement cycles across LATAM markets. Manage complex, multi-country deal cycles and navigate regional regulatory and procurement requirements to meet and exceed revenue quotas. Analyze financial market landscapes, competitive dynamics, and regional trends to translate high-level plans into targeted sales activities and campaigns.
  • Spearhead market expansion across LATAM financial departments, research centers, and administrative offices. Collaborate cross-functionally to identify and capitalize on new use cases and opportunities within LATAM banking, insurance, and fintech institutions. Build deep relationships across diverse stakeholder groups in Latin American financial institutions.
  • Navigate complex financial stakeholder ecosystems across LATAM markets, including executives, administrators, IT departments, and procurement offices. Effectively communicate value propositions in Portuguese and Spanish to build consensus and secure buy‑in from diverse stakeholders.
  • Inform product roadmaps and features by gathering feedback from LATAM financial users and conveying market needs. Provide insights that strengthen our value proposition for financial services across Latin America. Continuously refine the financial services sales methodology by incorporating learnings into playbooks, templates, and best practices, identifying process improvements that scale across the LATAM region.

You May Be a Good Fit If You Have

  • Professional fluency in Portuguese, Spanish, and English. We are looking for individuals with native or near-native proficiency in all of these languages.
  • 5+ years of LATAM financial services sales experience, including banking, insurance, fintech, or related sectors. Demonstrated deep understanding of financial services buying cycles, decision-making processes, and key pain points across Latin American markets.
  • A strategic, analytical approach to assessing LATAM financial services markets combined with creative, tactical execution to capture opportunities. Ability to adapt sales strategies to different regulatory environments and cultural contexts across Latin America.
  • Extensive experience negotiating complex agreements within LATAM financial services procurement frameworks and understanding regional regulatory requirements (e.g., compliance with local data residency, privacy laws, and financial regulations across different countries).
  • Proven experience exceeding revenue targets in the financial services sector, with demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-country deal cycles and navigate different regional requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present confidently to various audiences in Portuguese, Spanish, and English—from technical experts to C‑level executives across LATAM financial institutions.
  • A passion for and/or experience with advanced AI systems and their applications in financial services. You feel strongly about ensuring frontier AI systems are developed safely and ethically for financial use across LATAM.

Annual Salary

$290,000—$435,000 USD

Logistics

Education requirements: We require at least a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

Location-based hybrid policy: Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.

Visa sponsorship: We do sponsor visas! However, we aren’t able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. If we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
