Compass Healthcare Consulting & Placement is conducting a search for a Corporate Director of Revenue Cycle Management for a Behavioral Health Management Group with a Corporate office located in Queens, NY. Qualified candidates will have previous Director level leadership experience within a Behavioral Health Revenue Cycle Management environment. They will be familiar with implementation of RCM operations and systems, will be able to identify, hire, train and mentor key team members for the Corporate RCM functions. They will have prior experience with Commercial & Medicaid Billing settings within Behavioral Health & Addiction Treatment Centers, required.

Corporate Director of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) in Queens, NY, is a leadership position responsible for optimizing the entire revenue cycle process within a healthcare organization. This involves streamlining patient access, billing, coding, collections, and reimbursement to maximize revenue and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and managing all aspects of the revenue cycle, including patient access, insurance verification, billing, coding, collections, and reimbursement.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to improve cash flow, reduce denials, and increase collections.
  • Collaborating with clinical, administrative, and financial leaders to align RCM operations with organizational goals.
  • Monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and payer-specific regulations (e.g., Medicaid, Medicare, commercial insurance).
  • Overseeing RCM technology platforms and vendor relationships, ensuring optimal system performance and integration.
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing RCM team.
  • Managing department budgets and policies.
  • Analyzing billing and claims for accuracy and completeness, submitting claims to proper insurance entities, and working with denials teams to follow up on discrepancies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in revenue cycle management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience with Commercial & Medicaid Billing settings within Behavioral Health & Addiction Treatment Centers.
  • Deep understanding of billing and reimbursement processes, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer requirements.
  • Proven track record of implementing and improving revenue cycle performance and leading cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) and RCM systems.
  • Certification in revenue cycle management (e.g., CRCP, CHFP, CRCR, CHAM), preferred.
  • Coding certification (e.g., CPC, CPC-H, CCS, CCSP, ROCC), preferred.

Competitive Salary based on Experience, $200,000 - $225,000 +Excellent Benefits!
