Job Title : Director, SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud – R2R/Finance Lead
Location : United States (Remote). Travel as needed.
Employment Type : Permanent (Direct Hire)
Salary : $192,600 – $279,200 (varies based on geographic location in accordance with company policy)
Work Hours : Full-time (40 hours/week)

Role Overview: Seeking a senior delivery leader to drive Record to Report (R2R) transformation on SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud—covering financial close, consolidation, and reporting. You will lead end‑to‑end program delivery (discovery through hypercare), shape pursuit strategy, and architect future‑state finance solutions integrated with sales and procurement processes. The role blends executive‑level client engagement, solution architecture, and hands‑on delivery leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development & Pursuits: Identify R2R opportunities; shape delivery strategy; craft proposals; present Public Cloud finance solutions for close acceleration, consolidation, and modernized reporting.
- ERP Selection & Roadmapping: Lead finance process assessments and business case development; define roadmaps for R2R capabilities (Universal Journal, Group Reporting, Financial Close).
- Program Leadership: Oversee end‑to‑end delivery for R2R programs—design, build, testing, cutover, hypercare—while managing global teams and advising on key finance decisions.
- Architecture & Innovation: Design future‑state R2R solutions leveraging SAP BTP, Datasphere, SAC, and AI/ML for real‑time reporting, predictive insights, and compliance.
- Financial Management: Drive pricing strategy and manage program financials (forecasting, billing, margin optimization); align outcomes with finance performance goals (close‑cycle reduction, reporting accuracy).
- Methods & Teaming: Promote delivery innovation through accelerators and methodology refinement; mentor high‑performing teams; cultivate ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Professional Conduct: Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility in all stakeholder interactions.
Qualifications
- Experience: 10+ years leading large SAP programs; at least two full lifecycle S/4HANA Public Cloud R2R implementations with finance consolidation/reporting.
- Consulting Background: Recent experience in top tier management consulting delivering S/4HANA implementations (implementation experience required; AMS‑only background not aligned). Big 4 Consulting experience implementing S/4 Hana.
- Delivery & Strategy: Proven record leading pursuits for Public Cloud R2R (scope definition, solution shaping, executive presentations); deep experience in finance assessments, business cases, and R2R roadmaps.
- Technical Depth: Demonstrated success across the full R2R lifecycle—chart of accounts design, Universal Journal, build, testing, cutover, hypercare; integrated architecture with enterprise finance; hands‑on with BTP, Datasphere, SAC.
- Leadership: Strong ability to engage senior finance stakeholders, manage global teams, and produce publication‑quality client deliverables and thought leadership.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; MBA or CPA strongly preferred.
- Travel: Willingness to travel as needed.
