7-10+ years of commercial real estate underwriting experience
Strong understanding of valuation methods, including income capitalization, DCF, and sales comparison.
Advanced Excel skills , including building and stress-testing detailed cash flow models and debt structures.
Ability to identify and evaluate credit risks, lease rollover exposure, market concentration, and sensitivity scenarios.
Working knowledge of insurance requirements and coverage considerations by asset location.
Experience with zoning, environmental due diligence, title and survey review, and closing documentation.
Experience managing or mentoring junior staff.
Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
Problem‑solver who can identify issues and propose solutions.
Able to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
Comfortable working in a small, growing organization and taking on a range of responsibilities.

Perform full underwriting and due diligence for commercial real estate transactions and resolve underwriting issues as they arise.
Review appraisal reports for accuracy, completeness, and overall reasonableness of value conclusions.
Review insurance policies to confirm required coverages are in place.
Review Plan and Cost reports, when applicable, to confirm the appropriateness of the capital stack.
Review borrower organizational documents to ensure proper loan structure and authority.
Review credit memoranda prepared by junior staff to ensure compliance with underwriting standards and closing timelines.
Coordinate with internal and external legal counsel to ensure deal documents accurately reflect transaction terms.
Manage closings by working with title companies, lenders, attorneys, and other third parties to ensure timely funding.
Coordinate with the servicing team to transition loans from underwriting to servicing after closing.
Perform other duties as needed.
