The Role – Head of Loan Servicing
A well-established and growing financial institution in Midtown Manhattan is conducting a confidential search for an experienced Head of Loan Servicing to lead and oversee all aspects of loan servicing operations within a dynamic lending platform.
This leadership role will be responsible for managing the loan servicing function across a diversified loan portfolio, ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and a high level of service to borrowers and internal stakeholders.

The Role – Head of Loan Servicing
The Head of Loan Servicing will provide strategic oversight and operational leadership for the loan servicing department. This individual will ensure accurate and efficient servicing of commercial loan portfolios, while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and internal credit policies.
The successful candidate will partner closely with credit, risk, operations, and finance teams to enhance servicing processes, implement operational improvements, and support the growth of the lending platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all loan servicing operations across the organization’s lending portfolio
- Oversee servicing functions including payment processing, loan boarding, escrow management, and payoff administration
- Ensure compliance with banking regulations, internal policies, and servicing standards
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability
- Manage and mentor a team responsible for daily loan servicing activities
- Collaborate with credit, underwriting, risk, and finance teams to ensure smooth loan lifecycle management
- Oversee reporting and reconciliation related to loan portfolios and servicing performance
- Drive improvements in loan servicing systems, technology, and operational workflows
- Serve as a key internal resource for loan servicing strategy and best practices
Candidate Profile
- 10+ years of experience in loan servicing, lending operations, or credit administration within a bank or financial institution
- Prior leadership experience managing loan servicing or lending operations teams
- Strong knowledge of commercial loan servicing processes and loan lifecycle management
- Familiarity with bank regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to loan servicing
- Experience with loan servicing systems and financial operations technology
- Strong analytical, operational, and leadership skills
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced lending environment and drive process improvements
