Director of Finance

The Director of Finance is responsible for overseeing all financial operations of a multi-entity healthcare organization. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, strategic financial planning, and effective cash management. The Director works closely with executive leadership and key stakeholders to support organizational growth and financial stability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the accounting system, including payroll, accounts payable, and general ledger functions
  • Prepare monthly and interim financial statements and provide regular reporting to executive leadership and governance committees
  • Administer retirement plans, including participant transactions, benefit payments, and annual census reporting
  • Calculate and distribute provider compensation models, including periodic review meetings to assess draws and earnings
  • Serve on various internal committees related to finance, facilities, and retirement planning
  • Provide interim tax planning support, including adjustments to withholdings and preparation of individual tax filings as needed
  • Prepare and file quarterly sales tax and payroll tax returns, including year-end reporting
  • Develop financial proformas for new initiatives and coordinate equipment financing arrangements
  • Oversee cash management activities and banking relationships
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety requirements and complete required annual training

Working Relationships

Collaborates closely with executive leadership, board members, providers, and department leaders across the organization.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required
  • Significant experience in financial leadership within a multi-entity or professional services environment
