About the Role
This role is a high‑energy, consultative sales professional to drive growth across our Risk, Supply Chain and Economic Forecasting portfolio. It involves generating new business, expanding existing relationships, and delivering value‑driven solutions to senior decision‑makers. The sales professional manages the full cycle, from prospecting to negotiation and close, partnering with product specialists, analysts and leadership.
The Team
The Global Insight team delivers risk intelligence, economic forecasting and supply‑chain insights to world‑leading corporations, financial institutions and government agencies. It equips senior decision‑makers with actionable analysis for risk mitigation, investment strategy, market‑entry decisions and supply‑chain resilience.
Responsibilities and Impact
- Drive new business development and expansion across assigned territory or vertical
- Build and manage a healthy pipeline through proactive outbound prospecting and strategic account planning
- Conduct consultative discovery conversations with senior stakeholders (strategy, risk, supply‑chain, finance, treasury, procurement)
- Articulate the value of economic forecasting, country risk analysis and supply‑chain intelligence in solving complex client challenges
- Lead solution positioning, proposal development, negotiation and contract execution
- Accurately forecast revenue and maintain CRM discipline
- Partner cross‑functionally with Product, Marketing, Consulting and Customer Success teams
- Stay current on global macroeconomic, geopolitical and trade developments impacting clients
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary range: $104,435 to $127,544 (adjusted by location, experience, skill set, training and certifications). Eligible for an annual incentive plan and additional S&P Global benefits.
What We Are Looking For
Basic Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of B2B sales experience (data, SaaS, analytics, research, consulting or information services preferred)
- Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding quota
- Experience managing complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders
- Strong communication and executive presentation skills
- Highly organized with disciplined pipeline and forecasting management
- Bachelor’s degree required
Preferred:
- Exposure to economics, country risk, supply‑chain, financial markets or geopolitical analysis
- Experience selling subscription‑based solutions and/or advisory services
- Experience engaging senior‑level decision‑makers
